The Educational Improvement Tax Credit

Pennsylvania EITC:
The Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program awards tax credits to eligible businesses contributing to qualified organizations that are published on a list by the Department of Community and Economic Development Department as Pre-Kindergarten Scholarship Organizations and/or Educational Improvement Organizations (EIO).

Pre-School Scholarship Program:
The River Valley Regional YMCA Pre-School Childcare Program strives to provide a comprehensive high quality child care services to family's in Lycoming and Clinton Counties. Licensed by the Department of Public Welfare and a participant of Keystone STARS, children are cared for by teachers with degrees in Early Childhood Education and exposed to curriculums that offer many opportunities for hands on learning experiences. The main goal of the program is to transition children into kindergarten with the skills and character values needed for success.

Educational Improvement Organization (EIO):
The YMCA Summer Day Camp serves Lycoming, Clinton, Tioga and Bradford Counties and provides a variety of educational activities and adventures for children ages 5 to 12 years old. A compliment to the academic curriculum of the school districts we serve, the RVR YMCA Summer Day Camp program supplements the school curriculum in areas such as arts and humanities, literacy, science and technology, physical fitness and community services. The main goal of the program is to bridge the gap and prevent summer learning loss that typically occurs when school is out.
